I need to start off this post with an apologetic rant (feel free to skip):

I have been heavily neglecting to update this blog unfortunately due to many distractions, whether school gets in the way or I get caught up in my other social media crazyness hautekids somehow always gets lost in the mix. From now on I'm going to try to make a point to post and talk here more often.

Well first of all, there's not much I love about November, and since I despise the current time of year this month's favourites list might be short and to the point.

Important happenings:

1. My mother's car got broken into whilst at a family function in an unsavoury part of town and my oversize black leather bag with gold studs from UO which i was in LOVE with got stolen along with all my electronics (ipod, macbook, chargers) my curling wand, and miniscule bottle of prescription ativan. That being said, the month started off on a bad foot. That bag was a definite fall favourite, oh how I will miss it. The moderately priced but fabulous UO bag I had stolen; here on out forever known as "the one that got away."

2. I finally got to debut my lovely coral Casper & Pearl jumpsuit that I purchased in August at a family affair with my beige suede platforms and statement necklace. Comboed with a simple bun updo and a plain black blazer it was a standout moment but also a classy one. I was showered with complements.

3. I bought my second and likely final Canada Goose jacket (knee-length, dark blue), because although I'm crazy about my pink bomber it's not quite warm enough for the -25 days considering it barely covers the bottom of my spine. Yes, I have become the butt of the "typical white girl" jokes amongst my housemates and peers and I am ok with that. Starbucks anyone?

5. Lily Allen's song "Hard Out Here" is a current favourite- sassy and drives home an important point about the portrayal of women in the media

6. Lady Gaga's release of ARTPOP (FINALLY) has been the blessing to get me through the misery this November; I love the whole record, yet my currently preferred songs are the smooth and sexy title track, the magical ballad "Gypsy", the fun and punchy "MANiCURE", the explosive and dynamic "Donatella", the glamorous "Fashion!" and the heart-breaking "Dope". My alltime favourite track will always be Applause, though. That song has grown on me so much over the past three months it's basically become like a third appendage at this point.

7. I missed 4 didn't I.....

MY FAVOURITE FASHION THIS NOVEMBER:

Since Gaga has made her big comeback she's been everywhere showing off new and fabulous looks. Let me take a moment to share with you my favourites of November:

In this first look, Gaga struts it with a plain white ensemble and some rad alienesque sunglasses to create a moment of pure slayage.

Let's not forget how hard she worked those cute burlesque Versace numbers during her brilliant SNL opener and closer.

But of all the SNL looks, this may be my top favourite. All joking aside, those khakis are seriously everything. Werk it, Karen!

Then let's take a moment to admire the flawless Versace turban combo

Turban hats have always been one of my favourite headgear trends, especially in the fall.

And last but certainly not least, queen BlondeGa slayed the streets in this red jumpsuit which can only be described as Japanese Samurai meets socialite vacationing on the Almafi Coast

Some other favorites this month have been:

Kylie Jenner's incredibly sharp ensemble at the Catching Fire red carpet. Girlfriend worked this look into the ground

She's almost too fierce to be real! But even teenage millionaires get in trouble occasionally (unconventionally of course) and apparently mama Kris wasn't aware that Kylie "borrowed" her Bottega Veneta clutch when she called her out on instagram

Let's not forget about all the black leather fashion I've been loving on Tumblr lately. If you visited my blog, you might legitimately think I'm averse to colour. I'm not, I'm just in a bad ass black-leather-red-lips-femme-fatale type of mood these days.
